Ashe accepted Bez's defection, and ordered him to get Frankie, McCree, and B.O.B.U.S. Bez was the first to defect, and was quickly followed by almost all of the gang, who turned on Marco and his remaining loyalists. Ashe offered the Diamondbacks a place in her own gang, which had much better conditions than their current lot. ![]() Things didn't go to plan, as Ashe and Marco got into a standoff. He led them to McCree and promptly left down a side tunnel, knowing that Marco could never find out that he'd double crossed him. He explained that Marco had become unhinged ever since Ashe had crossed him, and getting Ashe out of the gang's hideout might make things better. On their way out of the hideout, they ran into Bez, who told them he could take them to McCree. However, it gave Ashe the chance to escape with the help of Frankie. Before that could happen, the police arrived, causing the Diamondbacks to scatter.Īs it turned out, the police hadn't arrived at all-the sounds had been simulated. Marco announced his plan to ransom Ashe to her parents, and ordered Bez and Julian to throw her into the same cell as McCree. Bez stood alongside Marco who watched her wake up. However, they kidnapped Jesse McCree, and threw flaming bottles through the windows.Īshe tried to save McCree, but was captured. Marco threatened her, but left under the gaze of B.O.B. They knew that she was really "Calamity, and they also knew that she'd carried out a another heist since Marco's ultimatum. Later, Bez, Marco, Zeke, and three other Diamondbacks crashed Elizabeth Ashe's 18th birthday at Lead Rose. The Diamondbacks left, and Bez looked ready to say something, before driving off with them. Marco ignored him, but Calamity agreed to the terms. Bez carefully reminded him that they'd come to deliver a warning, nothing else. Calamity refused, and Marco drew a knife on Frankie. Marco gave his terms-Calamity's gang was to cease all activities. Bez was at his side, but guilty at the role he'd played. Marco, alongside Bez and the other Diamondbacks, cornered Calamity's gang at the Hopper. ![]() Furthermore, there were a string of heists that were cutting into the Diamondbacks' territory. Bez and the Diamondbacks left.īez passed on details of the encounter to Marco, who was curious as to why Frankie was helping build bikes given her profession as a hacker. However, when asked, Bez confirmed that Marco was running things the same way, and as such, Frankie refused. He suggested that when Frankie was done, he could rejoin the Diamondbacks. Furthermore, she was working alongside Calamity. The interactions between him and Frankie were cordial, but strained, as Zeke was on Frankie's case. Months later, Bez and the Diamondbacks encountered Frankie again at Fort Starr. When she told him she was leaving, he didn't try to stop her, though he didn't understand why as the Diamondbacks were the "toughest gang around," it made sense to its members that everyone would want to be part of them. While not the leader of the Diamondbacks, Bez was the one who kept the group functioning, as Marco was content to sit back and give orders.īez befriended Frankie when she worked with the group. He was also the only real friend I had when I was working with the gang. Marco may be the leader, but Bez is the one who makes sure they have things like food on the table and fuel in the gas tanks. That was Benito Sanchez-Bez-the gang's second-in-command. He is generally friendly, possessing a moral center not shared by Marco. Bez is tall and slight, with a warm complexion and black hair with a pronounced widows peak.
